A project for food security and reforestation in Indonesia
The aim of this project is to design a commercial product made from the fruit of the Sugar Palm. At this time, only the sugar moisture from the palm is used and the fruits linger. In addition, the production process of this fruit will also be taken care of.
Growing the sugar palm and being able to use the fruit provides a source of income for the local population in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. In addition, the palm is planned in a so-called mixed forest, which prevents the deforestation.
