Project DOMO has the goal to decrease the malnutrition in The Gambia. 80% of the Gambian population works in the agricultural sector and is mainly selfsufficient. Because they can't preserve their harvest, every year there is a period in which there is no nutritious food left and people only have rice to eat.
With this project we are going to build a Solar Dryer in which harvest can be dried and therefore it can be preserved longer. This way, people will have nutritious food all year round. Besides the building, project DOMO will focus on implementing the use of dried food in daily life, because a big part of the population doesn't know the advantages of dried food and how to cook with it.
