UPDATE I: Ecotourism and waste management in a mangrove forest

Hi!

The past month has been dedicated to developing the walkway infrastructure in the mangrove and ecotourism offerings. The walkway will span around twenty meters, connecting a path from the village in the mangrove to an educational center in the mangrove, used to teach local schools or tourists about mangrove biodiversity. Furthermore, in terms of infrastructure, an entrance sign has been designed and created, many directional signs, and a kayak for guided tours. We have also delineated the ecotourism programs that will be offered,  which include both high-tide and low-tide programs. In the coming weeks, we will focus on transforming the local café into an ecocafé, develop pamphlets showcasing mangrove biodiversity, and host Coral Connect, a three-day cross industry event in which an excursion to the mangrove and participation in the ecotourism programs is included! We're excited about the prospects of ecotourism in the Cemare Mangrove, stay tuned for the next update!
