The aim of RIWIK is to provide electricity to everyone who is not connected to the electricity network. Local entrepreneurship is stimulated. In Kenya, this is often done by installing windmills.
The windmills are not yet fully developed. There are still many things to improve. RIWIK 2.0 is a project that is working on the aerodynamics of the windmills to increase the energy yield.
