From the 4th of November until the 29th of January a group of 3 TU students, Valérie de Vlam, Anne Roebroeck en Paul van Wiechen, will travel to Suriname to stimulate the use of greenhouses in the agricultural sector.
The use of tropical greenhouses is relatively undiscovered in the province Marowijne. Therefore the group will set up a local enterprise which will sell sustainable building packages. Farmers of the Marowijne province will be able to construct the greenhouses themselves with these packages by consulting an easy-to- use manual.
