After the first meetings at the MSF (doctors without borders) headquarters in Kenya, the real fun could really begin after we arrived at the Kilifi on the coast.
Here, we visited KEMRI medical research facility and met the researcher who developed the very first prototype of the bait that we developed now into a product. We started off with a tour around the facility and local hospital (during which monkeys were running around as well), discussed our project and upcoming plans and finally decided the test setup at KEMRI. Here, our baits will be tested in the insectarium using mosquito cages.
