The past two weeks we visited a total of 12 digesters in the area of Kampala, Uganda, to expand our knowledge and obtain a clear image of the biogas digesters and their operation. We conducted a questionnaire with a total of 35 questions at each visit. This data will be used as basis for a business model for HS Green Energy Engineering. In the past week, from December 2nd to December 6th we visited a monastery near the border of Tanzania to analyse the feasibility for a digester on the premises, which is currently under construction. The Victoria Monastery is part of the Trappist Brewery in Tilburg, The Netherlands. We wrote a rapport with our advice on the location, size and costs of the digester based on our calculations of the input and on the observations we made.This practical experience has helped a lot with our research for the biodigester we want to build ourselves in Matugga, a project that will start this week!
