Meanwhile all columns that have to support the roof of the workshop are up! Yesterday we left Esperanza and after the Christmas holidays we will continue the construction.
We are now in Waspam for a week to do research on the possibilities of selling bamboo furniture. Waspam is a small town 90 kilometers from Esperanza. Esperanza is part of the municipality of Waspam.
There are a number of hotels and restaurants in Waspam where the bamboo furniture could be sold. This way the workshop will make some money, but more importantly they will generate brand awareness.
The Mayor of Waspam has already ordered 3 tables at the workshop and we hope that by raising awareness we will sell more to individuals!
The money earned with the furniture will be invested in the maintenance of the workshop and the rest of the money will be spent locally by the workshop team. This keeps the money within the community and it makes sure everyone gets a little better from it!
