Hi everyone!
After enjoying the Christmas holidays, we’re back and hard at work in Djougou. Last week, we held the final workshop for our students. The focus was on the concept of the circular economy and how to create a business model canvas. Designing and building the reactor is one thing, but you also need to market and promote it to make it appealing to local farmers.
The reactor is a perfect example of a circular economy: transforming surplus waste—animal and organic in this case—into a new product that contributes to an environmentally conscious future. The workshop ended with a fun pitch competition where the students, in pairs, had one minute to present the reactor using a self-made poster. The best pair even won a prize!
In the meantime, we’ve also completed the handbook, which contains all the knowledge we want to leave behind at LTA. Next week, we’ll hand it over to our project provider, Séverin, during a closing dinner. Because in just one week, this beautiful adventure will come to an end, and we’ll be boarding the plane back to the Netherlands!
